Designer, born in New Delhi, she spent her childhood in India, Thailand, Austria and in 1973 she moved to Milan, where she graduated from the "Polytechnic School of Design" in 1979. After different working experiences with Andries van Onck, Ugo La Pietra, Ambrogio Rossari, from 1981 to 1994 she was the principal assistant of Alessandro Mendini, at the University of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna. After actively participating in Alchimia, she soon developed her own particular multicultural style. She has always self-produced her works, particularly in glass and ceramics, in the historical sites of such materials as Deruta, Murano, Albisola, Castellamonte, Sesto Fiorentino, Modra (Slovakia), Milan, Pietrasanta, Limoges. She taught at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad in India (University that had Charles Eames among its founders), at Craft ENAD in Limoges (France), at ISIA in Faenza, at the University of Reggio Emilia, at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and at the NABA in Milan she collaborated with the Master in Lighting Design by Polimi and organized workshops at the ISDAT in Toulouse (France). Consultant for some of the most important companies in the design sector, her works are part of the permanent collection of the Milan Triennale and MIC of Faenza.
